SWM Ponds aren't considered a form of LID. There are lots of great guides out there to help you design a SWM pond or wet pond. If you want to use LID principles, we suggest you distribute water quality treatment through the use of BMPs across your site and deal with flood volumes with underground infiltration chambers or a nice amenity space in a dry pond.
