Each turbidity monitoring station should be equipped with a turbidity sonde, data logger, power supply, protective enclosure, and, where Species at Risk (SAR) are present, telemetry capabilities. Continuous turbidity monitoring should be maintained until the site has reached at least 80% effective permanent stabilization. Where continuous monitoring is not feasible, grab samples should be collected. To support interpretation of turbidity exceedances, precipitation data should be obtained from a rain gauge located within 5 km of the site.
