===Erosion Control Blankets===
<p>Erosion control blankets are used to retain soil on slopes, along channels, and to control the wind scour of green roof media. Blankets which incorporate a non-biodegradable plastic mesh become unsightly when vegetation emerges in summers following installation. Even before vegetation lifts the mesh, it can snare and kill any small wildlife that come into contact. including: small birds, small mammals, amphibians and reptiles, and fish. </p>
<p>Alternatives including 100% biodegrade blankets or soil tackifiers are recommended for erosion control around LID installations.</p>
